FAQs

How deep can the Navbow be used?

The Navbow has an operating depth of 0–40 m (0–131 ft).

Can Navbow be taken on the plane?

The machine body weighs 3,400 g and the battery weighs 1,100 g. The standard battery is 158 Wh, which requires prior airline approval under ICAO regulations. Remove the battery before security screening and carry it as hand luggage — it cannot be checked. A maximum of two batteries per person may be carried on board. Damaged or leaking batteries cannot be transported.

How long is the battery duration?

Battery life depends on usage conditions, user weight, and environment. Under typical conditions, the 158 Wh battery provides up to 60 minutes of use.

What are the storage requirements for the Navbow?

Store the machine and battery separately: 1) Store in a well-ventilated place at 0–45°C (32–113°F) and 65±20% RH. 2) Keep away from direct sunlight. 3) Keep away from high temperatures, open flames, and out of reach of children. 4) Keep away from strong magnetic fields. 5) To prevent corrosion, run the device for approximately 10 minutes once a month.

How do I maintain the Navbow?

After use in salt or fresh water, clean the Navbow within 30 minutes: 1) Submerge the machine (with battery) in clean water for 20 minutes. Do not add any cleaning agents. Some bubbling is normal. 2) For a deeper clean, place the Navbow in a container of water and activate 'Self-Clean' in the SublueGo App. Direct the thruster outlet downward to avoid splashing. 3) Shake the device to dislodge any foreign matter. 4) Dry thoroughly with a clean, soft cloth. Remove the battery and store separately. 5) Dry the battery with a clean cloth and store in a cool, dry, ventilated place.

What are the speed modes of the Navbow?

FREE (low speed): 1.0 m/s (2.2 mph). SPORT (medium speed): 1.5 m/s (3.4 mph). TURBO (high speed): 2.0 m/s (4.5 mph). Speed may vary depending on user weight, water conditions, depth, and any mounted accessories.

What are the storage conditions for the battery?

1) Store the battery separately at 25±5°C (77±9°F) and 65±25% RH, at a charge level of 30–60%, in a cool, dry, ventilated place. 2) Keep away from direct sunlight and high temperatures. 3) For long-term storage, check the battery at least every 6 months and charge to 60%. 4) Do not charge below 0°C (32°F). 5) Keep the battery at approximately 30% charge during transport.

What should I do if there are green stains on the battery?

Green staining may result from prolonged moisture exposure causing copper oxidation. Clean the electrode with a dry cloth and apply a small amount of petroleum jelly (Vaseline) to the contacts. If corrosion is severe, contact Sublue or an authorized service center.

What is the battery type and specification?

Battery type: Lithium-ion. Rated capacity: 10,670 mAh. Nominal voltage: 14.8 V. Charging voltage: 16.8 V. Weight: approximately 1,100 g. Dimensions: L 171 mm × W 58 mm × H 60 mm.

Is corrosion normal around battery electrode contacts?

No, corrosion is not normal. Clean the electrode with a dry cloth and apply a small amount of petroleum jelly (Vaseline) to the contacts. If corrosion is severe, contact Sublue or an authorized service center.

Will the battery expand?

Battery swelling can result from prolonged discharge or overcharging. Store the battery at 25±5°C (77±9°F) and 65±25% RH, at a charge level of 30–60%. For long-term storage, check every 6 months and charge to 60%.

Where can I purchase a spare battery?

Contact Sublue or your local authorized dealer to purchase a spare battery.

How long is the battery life?

Under normal use, the battery supports approximately 300 charge cycles. Capacity will gradually decrease over time with repeated use.

Is the battery heating up normal?

Yes. Some warmth during use is normal for lithium-ion batteries.

Can the battery be used in low temperature?

The battery is a lithium-ion type and its capacity reduces significantly in low temperatures. Operate within 0°C–40°C (32°F–104°F). Do not charge or use below 0°C (32°F).

Open the battery back cover, there is water on the battery, is it normal?

Yes, this is normal. The battery is independently sealed. The Navbow uses contact sealing at the battery terminals only. If water is present on the battery or electrode, dry thoroughly with a clean cloth to prevent corrosion.

How long does the battery charge?

Approximately 3.5 hours to fully charge the 158 Wh battery.

What is the voltage of the charger?

Input: AC 100–240 V, 50/60 Hz. Output: DC 16.8 V.

Where can the Navbow be used?

Use the Navbow in open water environments such as the ocean, lakes, or swimming pools. Avoid rivers, ponds, or areas with poor water quality. Keep clothing, algae, ropes, nets, and debris away from the propellers.

What should I do if the battery can't be charged?

Contact Sublue or an authorized service center for support.

Will the Navbow leak electricity in the water?

No. The Navbow uses contact sealing at the battery terminals and a low-voltage circuit design with built-in circuit protection. The product has been tested and certified for safe underwater use.

Why does the thrust sometimes feel reduced?

First check for foreign objects in the propellers. Thrust also varies by speed mode — select the appropriate gear. Thrust may also be affected by user weight, body position, and water conditions.

Why is there noise during operation?

If noise occurs during operation, check the propellers for foreign objects. Clean and maintain the device after each use. If noise is excessive, contact Sublue or an authorized service center.

These two propellers feel different thrusts. Is that normal?

Check for foreign objects, debris, or damage to the propeller blades or protective covers. If the issue persists, contact Sublue or an authorized service center.

What should I do if the propeller is wrapped around something?

Remove the battery and open the front end cover. Take out the propeller and clear any debris. For further assistance, contact Sublue or an authorized service center.

If there is something wrapped around the propeller, will the machine stop itself?

Yes. The motor will automatically stop due to overload protection.
